Management Team
Meet our management team, each of whom brings a well-rounded mix of experience to the leadership of Extreme Consulting.
Bill Potter, Co-Founder & President
Bill graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering. Throughout Bill’s 20 years of experience in the computer industry, he has always had an interest and focus on helping the careers of others. Bill has enjoyed the design and development roles he’s filled over the years but missed the interaction of working with people on their career advancement.
Bill’s path since graduating from Wright State started with a company called Softech. Bill worked on designing software for an automated test facility used to test RF and microwave electronics. In 1989, Bill joined Merit Technology and was tasked with developing complex algorithms for Terrain Following, Terrain Avoidance and Route Planning capabilities for the Avionics lab at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. In 1992, Bill joined Cap Gemini America, now known as Sogeti. At Cap Bill consulted with clients Mead Data Central (now LexisNexis), Reynolds & Reynolds, and Greenville Technology Incorporated (GTI).
At Cap Bill had the opportunity to become a Skill Group Leader (SGL). The SGL’s were responsible for managing groups of 12 to 15 consultants in all aspects of their employment at Cap. This ranged from career planning, annual reviews, compensation increases, resolution of client/consultant conflicts, social outings, etc. Bill also helped Cap in a sales role and proposal writing for clients LexisNexis and NCR.
In 1997 Bill partnered with a small Dayton consulting firm and helped them to grow from zero employees to over 25 active consultants, building the company to over 4 million dollars in annual revenue.
In 2004 Bill and Anne started Extreme Consulting. At Extreme Bill enjoys helping IT professionals achieve their career goals and helping his clients by providing strong candidates at reasonable rates, who fit well in their teams.
Anne Fonde Potter, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Anne has been involved in the computer industry for over 15 years. Anne is a graduate of The University of Michigan, holding a double major in Computer Science and Economics, with emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Mathematics.
Anne came to Dayton to work for NCR Corporation, initially programming point of sale terminals and retail back office automation systems. While at NCR, Anne authored a professional service offering entitled “Object Oriented Design and Implementation using Object Modeling and C++.” Anne interfaced directly with AT&T Bell Labs to write the 32 chapters on advanced C++ constructs. She met and worked directly with some of the "fathers and mothers" of the original C++ language and compiler. After NCR, Anne moved to LexisNexis, where she was the technical lead and co-architect of a customer service tracking system for all of LexisNexis customer support.
Anne has been an active member of the National Association of Female Executives, the National Speakers Association, and The Ohio Speakers Forum. Anne was also on the founding board of directors for Clothes That Work! a local non-profit centered on “providing interview and work appropriate clothing and related services to women, men and independent teens striving to become self-reliant.”
Today Anne is thrilled to be back in the corporate world, after taking a few years off to be a mom. She is excited to be helping people increase their career potential by connecting them with great opportunities in a great company. Her ultimate goal is to position Extreme Consulting to be one of the "Best Places to Work in Dayton."
